Kansas State at Kansas - game time, tv info, radio, streaming, odds and more

It's a bad time for the season to be on the brink, and a loss wouldn't entirely push the Cats over the edge. A win might save the world, though.

Let's be honest: we want to see 40 minutes of this.

Kansas State (12-9, 5-3 Big 12) at (9/11) Kansas (17-3, 6-1 Big 12)

Nino Williams is hurt, and the Wildcats will have to venture into the very pits of hell without his help. Can they pull off a stunning upset? Logic says no, but the crazy angles of this season say maybe. What we do know: a win would be a massive boost to a crumbling resume.

The game: Kansas State visits the Kansas Jayhawks in the 280th edition of the basketball version of the Sunflower Showdown. The Jayhawks have a 187-92 lead in the series, but as we always like to remind you it was only 139-88 back in 1994. It's 85-35 in Lawrence. But the current holder of the belt is Kansas State; the Wildcats won the last meeting between the two teams, 85-82 in overtime last February in Manhattan.

Odds: Kansas is an 11.5 point favorite. But hey, it opened at 12!

Tipoff: Saturday, January 31 at 1:00pm CT, Allen Fieldhouse (16,300) in Lawrence, Kansas.

Tickets: Don't be ridiculous.

Television: ESPN with Dave Flemming and Fran Fraschilla.

Radio: K-State Sports Network, with Wyatt Thompson and Stan Weber. The game will be available on Sirius/XM 91, but you'll be stuck with the KU broadcast featuring Bob Davis and Greg Gurley, which will also be your only radio option if you live in a truly horrible place which has a KU station and not a Wildcat transmitter. If so, you should really move.
