In which most of our non-conference opponents, save for Pittsburgh and Purdue, win last week, while the Cats' four-game winning steak is snapped and Oklahoma loses three out of four.

Last week saw all of the teams in action except Long Beach State, Nebraska-Omaha and West Virginia.

The highlights were Arizona's win at Stanford, Tennessee's victory at South Carolina, Texas A&M's comeback win over Mizzou, Georgia's victory over Ole Miss and Texas Southern advancing to 5-0 in conference play.

Lowlights, as always, were provided by Bradley, Savannah State and Southern Utah, but Pittsburgh and Purdue also joined the club last week with heartbreaking road losses to Duke and Illinois, respectively.

In Big 12 midweek action, Iowa State secured its hold on first place (for a few days, at least) by beating the Cats, KU got a Big Monday win over fading Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State and Texas won must-wins over bottom-feeders.

The less said about Baylor's choice of midweek opponent, the better. Scott Drew should be ashamed.
