In which Black Tuesday claims multiple victims on K-State's schedule.

Tuesday might as well have been Black Tuesday, as far as K-State's strength of schedule is concerned. Before the disaster that was Saturday occurred, things already were trending in a downward direction.

The highlight was our highest-quality loss losing some steam with Arizona's first defeat of the season, at the hands of UNLV. That was paired with the humdinger that was Texas losing to Stanford, which I have addressed already.

Less concerning was the continued exposure of Texas Tech as a below-mediocre team, with the Red Raiders losing on a second consecutive night in Las Vegas.

And then there was Auburn figuring out a way to do what we and Michigan State could not: Coming back from a deficit to defeat Texas Southern at home. In this case, the SEC Tigers overcame an 11-point deficit to survive by 1.

The only positives were Pittsburgh dominating a team it should have dominated and Southern Utah netting a rare win, rarer still because it occurred on a neutral court.
