We narrowly missed an RPI/SOS-boosting result when Long Beach State blew a nine-point lead a San Diego State. If the 49ers just could have held on against the Aztecs, it would've gone long way toward erasing the stink of that loss.

Elsewise, Texas Tech collected a nice home win over Fresno State, but the real late-week push came from the conference's quality road wins over Georgetown (Kansas) and Iowa (Iowa State). Those will go a long way in RPI.
