The Big 12 was cruising right along, racking up non-conference win after non-conference win, when all of a sudden, the train went off the tracks Tuesday night in spectacular fashion.

While KU was busy getting its feces pushed in and barely avoiding its worst offensive performance since 1962 at the hands of No. 1 Kentucky Jayhawksbane, Texas Tech was busy blowing a 12-point halftime lead at LSU.

Those two blemishes (and OU's two-point loss last night at Creighton, which is not reported here because of the one-day delay in free RPI reporting) aside, the conference is still doing very well for itself.

Which is more than SEC can say, even with Tuesday night's two signature achievements.
