It's doubleheader time at Bramlage Coliseum this evening as both the women and men kick off the 2014-15 campaign in back-to-back contests. For the ladies, Jeff Mittie makes his official K-State coaching debut and Shaelyn Martin will likely see her first official action; for the men, we'll finally see the official debuts of Justin Edwards and Steven Hurt.

The games: Kansas State's women host the SIU-Edwardsville Cougars in the opener, and then the men take on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. K-State's ladies have never played SIUE; the men's team leads the series against Southern Utah 3-0, all in Manhattan, and are 15-5 all-time against Big Sky teams, 15-3 at home. Of course, one of those losses was the stunning defeat last year at the hands of Northern Colorado Bears. We won't discuss that. Southern Utah is led by coach Nick Robinson, who was just playing for Stanford a decade ago. He's 13-47 in his three-year career.

Odds: K-State is a 28.5 point favorite tonight. I'm not sure they're going to cover; that's pretty steep. There's no line on the women's game.

Tipoff: Friday, November 14 at 5:30pm CT, Bramlage Coliseum (12,528) in Manhattan, Kansas.

Tickets: Tickets to both games are available through the ticket office starting at $12.50 (with a Wildcat four-pack), or at $15 for single seats.

Television: The women's game is only available on KStateHD.tv with Brian Smoller and Kristin Waller. Subscription IS required for this game. The men's game will follow on FS Kansas City at 8:00 CT with Ben Boyle and Stan Weber.

Radio: K-State Sports Network, with Smoller and Waller on the women's game, Wyatt Thompson and Matt Walters on the men's game. There is no satellite broadcast tonight.
