We'll get to college football in just a second.
First, we are very pleased to announced that Curtis Kitchen has joined the BOTC editorial staff. For those of you who don't know, Curtis covered K-State and other teams for 810 WHB before operating his own independent site. This addition, along with adding MASHFORD a few weeks ago, is going to produce a quality and quantity of content we haven't seen at BOTC before.
Back to college football. SB Nation's excellent weekend viewing guide is here. For you degenerate gamblers, the betting guide is here.
K-State's game thread will go live one hour before kickoff. The rest of the Big 12 action is below:
TCU vs. Southeastern Louisiana, Fort Worth, Texas, 11:00 a.m., FSN -- The Frogs should have an easier time with this Louisiana outfit.
Oklahoma State at UTSA, San Antonio, Texas, 11:00 a.m., FS1 -- Pokes play their second non-conference game of the season in Texas. Their recruiting strategy isn't obvious at all. Only question is when they will schedule a non-conference game in Wichita.
Baylor vs. Buffalo, Waco, Texas, 2:30 p.m., FSN -- Can you say "really freaking hot?" Forecast high is 100 and kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. They'll be dropping like flies in Waco.
Oklahoma vs. West Virginia, Norman, Okla., 6:00 p.m., FOX -- The opening Big 12 Conference game of the year should be an ugly one.
Texas Tech vs. Stephen F. Austin, Lubbock, Texas, 6:00 p.m., FSN -- It's really not fair for the Red Raiders to take on just one man.
Texas at Brigham Young, Provo, Utah, 6:00 p.m., ESPN -- Same here. How do they get away with playing just one guy?!!?
KU vs. South Dakota, Lawrence, Kan., 6:00 p.m., JHN -- The beaks finally get season two of the Charlie Weis era underway.
