I don't know whether it's because this isn't an SB Nationwide effort anymore or because we lost our opener in stunning and embarrassing fashion, but I'm quickly losing my taste for doing this.

The fact that I barely watched any games last Saturday probably isn't helping, nor is the fact that one game's worth of evidence still isn't enough to judge any team fairly. All of these things added up to a very late publish on this one.

But never fear — I will plunge onward for the sake of you, dear readers. Someone has to rank these bad boys.

This week took a sharp turn toward resume balloting. Teams who challenged themselves with road or neutral venues were rewarded, as were those who beat BCS opponents. The bottom five spots were reserved for such:
