#61 Drew Liddle |
Position: Offensive Line Previous College: None Projection: Second-String Status: Walk-On |
Drew Curry Liddle (b. Jan. 30, 1992) is a hard-working offensive lineman who walked on prior to the 2010 season.
He has worked his way up the depth chart along the offensive line and also has played a lot on special teams.
Liddle's first playing time came against Iowa State in 2011. But his time on the field increased dramatically in 2012, when he saw action in five games as both a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams.
Liddle recovered a fumble on a punt against Texas, and also played against Missouri State, Miami, Kansas and Texas Tech. He appears slated to be B.J. Finney's primary backup this season.
He lettered three years for Grain Valley under head coach Forrest Rovello, earned first-team all-state honors from the Associated Press and was a second team all-state pick by the Missouri Football Coaches Association.
Liddle also was named all-conference as a sophomore, junior and senior in high school; led his team to the state semifinals and a 12-1 record as a sophomore; and lettered four years in track and two years in basketball.
