In which BracketCat counts down the 25th day until kickoff with a profile of offensive lineman Matt Kleinsorge.

#65 Matt Kleinsorge
Redshirt Sophomore
6-5 | 306
Olathe, Kan.

Position: Offensive Line

Previous College: None

Projection: Third-String

Status: Preferred Walk-On

Matthew Alan Kleinsorge (b. Sept. 3, 1992) is a preferred walk-on from Olathe South High School.

He started for the White team in the spring game, but I projected him as the third-string right guard behind Boston Stiverson and Keenan Taylor. Tomasi Mariner's departure at left guard might change things somewhat, though.

He redshirted in 2011 and in 2012, he saw mop-up duty against Missouri State, Miami and Kansas.

A three-year letter-winner at Olathe South under head coach Jeff Gourley, Kleinsorge helped the Falcons to win league and district championships as a senior, while they were the regional runner-up in 2010.

He also participated in baseball, basketball and track; was named the team's MVP in basketball in 2008; was a Wendy's Heisman Award winner and discus award winner; and was an Eagle Scout in high school.
