Dylan Veatch is a transfer wide receiver from Indiana, where he redshirted during the 2011 season. As a Hoosier, he was a three-time scout team player of the week (South Carolina State, Illinois and Northwestern).
That's the same role he played for us last fall, because despite his redshirt, he had to sit out a year in accordance with NCAA Division I transfer protocols. I think I erroneously listed him as being on scholarship last year.
The move to wide receiver was Veatch's third position change in 18 months. He was recruited as a quarterback and switched to safety at Indiana. He lettered three years at Rockhurst High School under head coach Tony Severino.
Veatch's uncle is Laird Veatch, former K-State linebacker and current executive associate athletic director.
