#69 Logan O'Dea |
Position: Defensive Line Previous College: None Projection: Scout Team Status: Walk-On |
Logan Patrick O'Dea (b. Feb. 8, 1994) is a walk-on defensive tackle who was redshirted in 2012. He had one tackle for the White team in the spring game. But that one tackle was of starting fullback Glenn Gronkowski, mind you.
O'Dea, who likely will be on the scout team, was a four-year starter for Wellsville High School under head coach Mark Luedtke. He led them to a 10-1 record in 2011 and was named the Kansas 3A Defensive Player of the Year.
O'Dea was a first-team all-state pick as both an offensive and defensive lineman. He totaled 137 tackles, which led all defensive linemen in the state. He also carded 27 tackles for loss and five sacks during the 2011 campaign.
He was selected to participate in the 2012 Kansas Shrine Bowl. Additionally, O'Dea was a two-time state medalist in discus and also medaled in the shot put, setting league records in both events.
O'Dea also lettered in basketball, and he was the 2012 Kansas Class 3A powerlifting champion and set the state record in bench press. He earned a 4.0 grade-point average and was named the class valedictorian.
