Cody Whitehair (b. July 11, 1992) was a smash success in his redshirt season, starting in four of the five offensive line positions and pancaking Big 12 defenders en route to a conference championship.

B.J. Finney is receiving an awful lot of preseason acclaim this summer, but Whitehair might be our best and most versatile hogmolly. He played everywhere but center, and probably was the best option at all of those positions.

For his immense size, Whitehair is athletic as hell and a total mismatch for defensive tackles, but he's too big for most defensive ends to cope with. In other words, he's a defensive line coach's nightmare.

I truly look forward to watching him, Finney and Boston Stiverson manhandle opposing defensive fronts for the next two seasons. Either Daniel Sams or Jake Waters should have plenty of time to do damage on the field.
