Colborn Levi Couchman (b. Nov. 4, 1993) chose to walk on at Kansas State over offers from junior colleges, Pittsburg State, Emporia State and other Division II schools. After a redshirt, he figures to contribute on scout team.

He lettered two years for the Scott Community Beavers under head coach Glenn O'Neil, and led the team to a combined 21-2 record, two league championships and one regional championship.

Couchman was a first-team all-state defensive end in 2011 by the Kansas Football Coach Association, Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle after totaling 87 tackles, including 24 for a loss of 102 yards.

He also led the team in solo tackles with 52, was named the Garden City Telegram player of the year and was a first-team all-league pick on offense after totaling 1,242 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns on 8.2 yards per carry.

Couchman also lettered in track, winning a state championship in the 4x100-meter relay.

Couchman participated in 2012 Kansas Shrine Bowl. He also had nine pass receptions for 138 yards and one touchdown. On five kickoff returns, he averaged 36 yards and had one TD.
