#39 Cameron Morgan |
Position: Safety Previous College: None Projection: Scout Team Status: Preferred Walk-On |
Cameron Andrew Morgan (b. Nov. 14, 1993) is a preferred walk-on quarterback-turned-safety we plucked out of the state of Nebraska. He attracted interest, although not scholarship offers, from K-State, Nebraska and UCLA.
He set the Nebraska Class A state record for most touchdowns in a game in 2009 at six (tied with New England's Danny Woodhead) and also took his baseball team to the state championship, playing second base and pitcher.
Morgan totaled 2,332 career rushing yards and 45 touchdowns, while also throwing for 23 career touchdowns. He earned honorable mention all-district honors as a sophomore and junior, and all-district as a senior.
He also is an active volunteers with the United Way, Walk for Autism and the American Lung Association.
Expect Morgan to be on the scout team and maybe special teams, but with our history of turning walk-on quarterbacks into safeties and eventually awarding them scholarships, he might make an impact down the road.
