#83 Logan Stephens |
Position: Wide Receiver Previous College: Dodge City Community College Projection: Special Teams Status: Walk-On |
Logan John Stephens (b. April 3, 1992) played at Wheatland High School, and then at Dodge City Community College in 2010 and 2011. In eight games in 2012, he had four total tackles on special teams for K-State.
In 2010, Stephens saw action in nine games for the Conquistadors, mainly as a special teams contributor.
But 2011 was his breakout year. He caught a school-record 77 passes for 977 yards in just 10 games, including six touchdowns. He also produced in the kicking game, including attempting four PATs and booting a 30-yard field goal.
For his efforts, Stephens was named to the All-Jayhawk Conference second team.
For 2013, I think we're deep enough at wide receiver with scholarship players that Stephens will remain primarily in a special teams role. He didn't even participate in the spring game, although that may have been due to injury.
