Joe Gordon might be gone, but his family still remains at K-State in the form of incoming freshman wide receiver LeAndrew Gordon, who likely committed because his father still was a recruiting coordinator here at the time.

But despite his father's absence (Joe's now an assistant coach at Garden City Community College with Matt Miller and Jeff Kelly), Gordon stayed committed and is on track to be here for fall practice. Watch his highlights here.

He's very small, so I expect a redshirt season, but he's also apparently very fast, so we can't rule anything out.

Tyler Lockett played as a true freshman, after all, and while I'm not suggesting Gordon is anywhere near that talented, Bill Snyder has shown that he is willing to put speed on the field at any age.

Gordon helped Pantego Christian Academy to a 6-4 record and a district championship during his senior year.

He was listed as the fastest wide receiver in the class of 2013, according to ESPNU, and was a first-team all-district selection following his junior year. Gordon also was a standout for the Panthers basketball and track teams.
