William Green redshirted in 2011 and apparently didn't log any playing time in 2012 after transferring here late from Highland Community College. As a JUCO defensive tackle, he had 16 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.
We were so deep at tight end with scholarship players last year that we moved one of them to offensive tackle, so the odds that Green ever sees the field in a meaningful capacity, barring a position change, are pretty slim.
He had just one assisted tackle for the White team in the 2013 spring game — not exactly an auspicious sign.
The scout team always is looking for new contributors, however, after the best are promoted to the three-deep.
