K-State Slate: 2.8.13

Anytime you lead the Big XII in a sport, the other teams in the conference will have extra motivation to beat you. The Cats now have the attention of the other teams in the conference and the next two games will require all the players to concentrate on that particular game. It won't be easy but if the Cats can win the next game and the following game, they will have sole possession of first place in the conference. Need MTXE* from everyone on the team.

Basketball

Lady Cats travel to Ames this weekend and have 5 of the last 8 games on the road. The Lady Cats will face a different game plan from the Lady Cyclones than the game plan IA-State used against Texas.

The Cats have to focus on each game and not look ahead to the next game. Nor can they play at less than 100% effort each game. Any lack of focus or looking ahead will result in no longer being tied for the conference lead.
