Gardner Hobbled, But Probable

One thing's for sure heading toward K-State's December 28 date in Tempe with the Wolverines: Michigan's backup quarterbacks will be ready. That's because, according to a report from the Detroit Free Press's Mark Snyder, Devin Gardner is walking around in a boot and on crutches due to turf toe and isn't able to practice.

This isn't as big a deal as it may seem, however, as Brady Hoke uses bowl practices in much the same fashion as Bill Snyder -- as a means to prepare for next year.

It's been a rough year for Gardner, who's battled nagging injuries all year and, according to (Mark) Snyder, has taken Michigan's losses personally and feels responsible.

In other Michigan news, our friends over at Maize n Brew took a first look at the Wildcats. They're a little off-base about a couple of items, and seem to think K-State is still plagued by turnovers. Surprise!
