The Wildcats will try to finish the season with a winning record as they rebound from last week's letdown. Their presumptive victims: our arch-enemies from downriver. The Cats will be vacationing at their home away from home, where the stands will still be largely purple if almost every other year in the last quarter-decade is any indication.

It's the Sunflower Showdown, the nation's fifth-oldest uninterrupted annual college football rivalry. it's worth noting that under Bill Snyder the Wildcats are 18-4 against the Jayhawks -- and 16-1 since 1993. Kansas still leads the all-time series 64-41-5, but since 1924 KU only leads 47-40-2 and since the inception of the Governor's Cup in 1969 the Cats hold a 24-19-1 edge.

There's probably not a whole lot to worry about today, although if the defense can't keep James Sims contained it could be touch-and-go.

Go Cats!
