Blah. Just blah.
Football:
Yeah, not getting stops might indeed be an issue. Saturday had one big thing in common with the NDSU and Texas games... and I don't mean the big L. (And maybe now we can put away the notion that the offense was responsible.)
Oklahoma quite clearly set out to take away the run, and that's pretty much why you didn't see Daniel Sams. Also, even Ken Corbitt doesn't know what's up with Jack Cantele.
Some random observations from the Tulsa media. Also, takeaways from Kellis, who thinks Sams should have played anyway.
Basketball:
Well, the Cats can beat Long Beach State, anyway.
Gene Keady entered the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame last night.
Volleyball:
Equestrian:
K-State upset #1 Georgia over the weekend! SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENED!
State:
Finals are set in Kansas and Missouri. Kansas: 6A - Derby vs SM East; 5A - Salina South vs Blue Valley. Missouri: 6A - Blue Springs vs Columbia-Rock Bridge; 5A - Parkway-Central vs Lees Summit West.
It's SM East's first-ever trip to the championship game. Man, when I was in school they were the guaranteed win for all the other Shawnee Mission schools.
Other:
Engineering's getting a new $40M building. Groundbreaking in February, should take 18 months to complete. Also, there will be renovations to the Rathbone entrance. When complete, CIS will move from Nichols, and E&CE will move over from Rathbone.
