K-State Slate: 11.11.13

Whoa, weekend Wildcat woundup... err, I mean, roundup.

Look, it's Dorrian Roberts!

Saturday ended up being a pretty good day in Manhattan, hopefully blunting the memory of Friday night's disaster. The scoop:

Football:

The Cats are on the verge of bowl eligibility, because they're getting better, and one guy's quietly a big part of that improvement: John Hubert.

Hubert picked up Athlon's Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week nod.

Basketball:

Team comes out flat and with no leadership, team loses to a Big Sky opponent. Pretty simple.

The ladies, on the other hand, are 2-0 after starting four freshmen in a runaway opening night win over Tennessee State Saturday night and then scrapping out a win over North Carolina-Charlotte yesterday. Frosh PG Leti Romero led the team both nights, tallying 16 against TSU and 25 against Charlotte -- against whom the Spanish import also led the Lady Cats in rebounds and assists.

Volleyball:

Lady Cats finally have something go right, dispatching West Virginia in straight sets Saturday (making K-State 3-0 on the day, hooray!).
