College Football Viewing Guide/Open Thread: Week 6

Conference play starts in earnest across the country this week. Nowhere is that more true than the Big 12, where all 10 teams meet this weekend (or Thursday).

K-State comes off its bye week hoping to find an offensive identity against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are reeling themselves, after a loss to West Virginia on the road. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. in Stillwater.

Conference play gets rolling in full this weekend around the country. To guide you through, check out SB Nation's excellent viewing guide. For you degenerate gamblers, here are this week's picks, as well Bill Connelly's F+ picks for this week (he has K-State to cover).

Elsewhere, there's a full slate of Big 12 action, accounting for Thursday's Iowa State/Texas game in Ames. The full Big 12 slate is below. K-State's open thread will go live one hour before kickoff.

Thursday: Texas 31, Iowa State 30: We've talked enough about this one already.

KU vs. Texas Tech, Lawrence, Kan., 11:00 a.m., FS1: Guns up! Two more losses, and KU will own the longest losing streak to current conference opponents in Big 8/12 history.

Oklahoma vs. TCU, Norman, Okla., 6:00 p.m., FOX: Can the Belldozer (or the Yeti, depending on your terminology) bulldoze the Horned Frogs' defense?

Baylor vs. West Virginia, Waco, Texas, 7:00 p.m., FS1: If the Mountaineers catch lightning in a bottle two weeks in a row, look out.
