The RPI's this week are from statsheet.com as I discovered last week there really isn't that much difference between the RPI calculations. And statsheet has all sorts of stats that I like perusing as I look up RPI's.
Michigan helped the Cats by beating the Gophers, as did wins by N. Dakota, George Washington, Florida, UMKC and S. Dakota.
Lamar, AL-Huntsvile, N FL, Delaware, SC-Upstate, Gonzaga and Texas Southern lost, which doesn't help the Cats at all.
The Big XII has Kansas (4), Oklahoma (21), Oklahoma State (37), Iowa State (39), West Virginia (91) and K-State (30) in the top 100 RPI's. The Cats will need to split with all of these teams at the least to make the NCAA tournament while beating the other teams home and away. To win the conference the Cats will need to beat at least 3 of these teams on the road, along with beating the schools in Texas both home and away.
Bracketology has K-State as the 7th seed in the West (1/15), CBSsports (Jerry Palm, 1/11) doesn't have K-State in the tournament, collegesportsmadness.com has K-State as a 7 and bracketville (1/14) has K-State as a 6 in Austin, but K-State is trending towards a 6 seed at the moment. Most of the leading bracketologists at The Bracket Project did not have anything posted or I should use the first link.
But NONE OF THIS MATTERS. ALL THAT MATTERS IS BEAT KU! Followed by Farmageddon, the basketball edition.
