K-State Football

After a dramatic K-State win in Coral Gables last season, Miami travels to Manhattan for Round 2 with K-State.

Boston College threw for 441 yards against Miami's defense last week. You can bet Collin Klein and K-State won't equal that output, but Klein is looking to take advantage of the Hurricanes' suspect pass defense.

We've been busy interacting with Miami blogs this week. You can check out my responses to questions from The Seventh Floor and Category Six at these links.

K-State Volleyball

The Wildcats swept Missouri State yesterday at Ahearn Fieldhouse.

College Football

Bill's Numerical is back and, unlike Spencer's Alphabetical, has K-State content! Of course, how could it not given the joy K-State clearly takes in turning his numbers on their ear?

Billy Gillispie

Allegations of abusive conduct are hounding Billy Gillispie at Texas Tech right now. Gillispie is in the hospital, and Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt called it a "serious situation" but didn't get a lot more specific than that. I can't find the article right now, but someone posed the question yesterday: how can the school that fired Mike Leach for alleged abuse of players -- and mild abuse compared to what's alleged against Gillispie -- keep Billy Gillispie? The answer is probably that it can't.
