K-State Basketball

Top billing this time of year usually goes to football, but the biggest actual news from yesterday was a basketball signing. Bruce Weber got a commitment from Marcus Foster, a 6'2" guard from Wichita Falls, Texas.

K-State Football

Bill Snyder was pleased with the progress shown by his group of youngsters in K-State's second game of the season. Also, Collin Klein was named the Big 12's offensive player of the week.

K-State Golf

True freshman Matt Green, playing in his first collegiate tournament, leads the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic after shooting an impressive nine-under-par 133 (68-65) yesterday. The tournament concludes today.

Meanwhile, in Lincoln, K-State sophomore Carly Ragains shot 78-72 and is in second place after the first day of the Chip-N-Club Invitational. K-State is in fifth place.
