Jarard Damone Milo (b. Jan. 5, 1990) made a bit of an unexpected splash during 2011 spring practice for an un-recruited walk-on. He had an offer from Minnesota in high school, but went the JUCO route instead.

With Tysyn Hartman and Ty Zimmerman unavailable for the 2011 spring game, Milo started for them on the White team. He collected three tackles and broke up a pass.

The word out of spring camp last year was that he was much more impressive than that during daily drills. And his recruiting highlights were pretty solid, too. Oh, and I did I mention that he's Brian Goolsby's younger brother?

Milo appeared in 12 games last season, mainly on special teams. He had four solo tackles and four assisted tackles. He matched that total in the 2012 spring game in solo tackles alone, while adding another two assisted.

Thomas Ferguson, Kent Gainous and possibly Dante Barnett will be locked in a battle this fall to replace Hartman and play opposite Zimmerman, but Milo easily could enter that mix due to his experience. At worst, he's third-string.
