K-State Football

The physical landscape surrounding K-State sports is changing dramatically. The basketball training facility should be finished soon and work will begin in earnest on the West Stadium Center in December, after the final home football game of the season.

I did a terrible job promoting it last week, but SB Nation's Texas Christian blog, Frogs O'War, spent last week previewing K-State football. First was their Getting to Know U post from last Thursday, then there was the actual preview post, which was very well written. Finally, our very own GTCat answered six questions with them, appropriately themed around firearms (it is Texas). Very good stuff in case you missed it last week.

The KC Star's Blair Kerkhoff projects an 8-4 regular-season record for K-State this season.

K-State middle linebacker Arthur Brown has turned into a vocal leader this season.

K-State Volleyball

K-State rallied to defeat Oregon State in five sets on Saturday, capping a sweep of the Varney's Invitational. Earlier in the weekend, K-State swept UC Irvine and Oakland. The Wildcats travel to Omaha for the Bluejay Invitational this week.

Big 12 Football

Frogs O'Waris where I first saw this Berry Tramel post discussing the Big 12's new TV contract. Nothing is official yet, but reading between the lines it looks like FOX and ABC will be sharing the Big 12's top games.
