Evan Loomis (b. Oct. 14, 1991) is the younger brother of special teams captain and linebacker Jared Loomis.
He played two years for the Dodge City Conquistadors for head coach Bob Majeski as a wide receiver and tight end.
An honorable-mention All-Jayhawk Conference tight end in 2011, Loomis caught 37 passes for 465 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed nine times for 54 yards and made six special teams tackles.
Playing in all nine games as a freshman, he hauled in three passes for 21 yards and rushed for 31 on a fake punt.
He lettered three years in high school, led the team to a 13-0 record and 2007 Kansas Eight-Man Division I state title as a sophomore, and played in both the Kansas Eight-Man and Kansas vs. Nebraska all-star games.
He enjoyed the best year of his career as a senior, when he caught 32 passes for 429 yards and nine touchdowns, while carding 116 tackles and picking off five passes. He also lettered four years in basketball and track.
Loomis earned a 4.0 GPA and was the class valedictorian.
