Because Bill Snyder mentioned complacency and its consequences, we have a news article about it. Despite last year's results, I will likely be an underdog again most of this season, so I don't think complacency is much of a concern. I'm complacent about complacency.

Sports Illustrated's preview has K-State going 9-3 (6-3) and finishing third in the Big 12, behind Oklahoma and Texas.

Nothing new to us, but Sports Illustrated's George Schroeder finds that Collin Klein focuses on faith, family and football, in that order. But he still puts in quite a bit of work on football.

K-State set a record for donations to the Ahearn Fund last year, at least partially thanks to the 10-win football season.

K-State Basketball

Former K-State basketball player Denis Clemente was in a car that was shot at in his native Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Clemente wasn't hit, but three of his friends suffered injuries.
