#22 Zach McFall |
Position: Wide Receiver Previous College: Fort Scott Community College Projection: Third-String Status: Walk-On |
Zachery Ryan McFall (b. June 14, 1990) is a bit of a dark-horse candidate to be in the three-deep at wide receiver, but based on his progression in 2010, 2011 and spring 2012, I feel comfortable in making the prediction.
After redshirting in 2008, McFall was a starter in 2009 for the Greyhounds, finishing with 12 receptions for 206 yards for the conference champions. His longest catch was 39 yards.
He played sparingly in 2011 2010, appearing in only two games, but he came on down the stretch. His best game by far was the shootout with the Mean Green in Denton, Texas, where he caught two passes for 12 yards.
McFall built upon that performance by starting for the White team in the spring game and catching three passes for 33 yards, with a long of 20.
He then appeared in games against Kansas (one catch, five yards), Kent State and Texas Tech.
In the 2012 spring game, he caught a six-yard pass for the Purple team. He's also a candidate for our special teams.
