K-State Slate 7.20.12

In case you missed it there are only 43 days to kickoff, which means that the only real thing happening in college sports right now are media days of the SEC variety.

An article on K-State football which thinks K-State could finish in the top 5 despite having a tough schedule. As mentioned in the comments of yesterday's slate, Hubert placed on the Doak Walker Award preseason list.

K-State sports has articles on summer sports men's golfers and the Thorpe Cup. There was also a two part series earlier in July on essentially the top four athletes/coaches in K-State history: part 1 and part 2. Equestrian hired a new assistant coach. And the post on the Brazil trip media day.

Maryland continues to hire coaches that have Kansas ties, this time John Szefc was hired away from K-State. Coach Szefc is the new baseball coach for the Terps.

As a reminder time is running out to vote in the preseason polls: Poll 1, Poll 2, Poll 3, Poll 4

K-State professor gets to ring the closing bell at the NYSE. Who would have thought a English Professor knew about Batman?
