#65 Matt Kleinsorge |
Position: Offensive Line Previous College: None Projection: Third-String Status: Preferred Walk-On |
Matthew Alan Kleinsorge (b. Sept. 3, 1992) is a preferred walk-on from Olathe South High School who projects as an offensive guard, but beyond that, I know very little about him.
He redshirted in 2011 and, while there are no guarantees of his ever earning a scholarship or starting, never say never. The dude's an Eagle Scout who operated his own lawn-mowing business since the fifth grade, after all.
Besides, he always can look at the example of redshirt sophomore B.J. Finney, a former walk-on who was awarded a scholarship last summer, and now is a starting center and team captain. Why not Kleinsorge, too?
A three-year letter-winner at Olathe South under head coach Jeff Gourley, Kleinsorge helped the Falcons to win league and district championships as a senior, while they were the regional runner-up in 2010.
He also participated in baseball, basketball and track, and was named the team's MVP in basketball in 2008, while he also was a Wendy's Heisman Award winner and discus award winner.
