Edward Lee Brown (b. Dec. 25, 1990) generated a little buzz in August 2010 as a wide receiver, but not enough to avoid the near-inevitable redshirt that most incoming freshmen must succumb to under Bill Snyder.

He caught two passes for 24 yards for the White team in the 2011 spring game. That didn't exactly herald a breakout freshman season, especially considering the exploits of Arrison Davis and Curry Sexton for that same squad.

It's probably not a good sign for Brown that of 14 pass-catchers in the 2012 spring game, he wasn't one of them.

He also recorded zero stats in 2011, which is pretty bad. Even epic flameout Bryce Brown caught a pass last year.

Ed Brown might make an impact in future season; he might not. Not making any predictions either way.
