K-State Football

Bryce Brown rushed for 16 yards on three carries last season. He still hopes to be an NFL Draft pick. America is a wonderful place.

K-State Baseball

It just gets worse. Last night, K-State lost to KU in 11 innings on a walk-off home run. On Tuesday night, it took 15 innings before the Wichita State Shockers prevailed, 9-7.

K-State Men's Basketball

In the wake of Frank Martin's departure for South Carolina, K-State did not have a team banquet. But last night, the athletic department announced the team's season awards. To nobody's surprise, Rodney McGruder was the MVP.

College Football Playoff

Playoff proponents, rejoice. BCS director Bill Hancock says the status quo is off the table.

SB Nation's Jason Kirk writes that the committee isn't thinking through the stadium capacity issue. The college stadiums that would have hosted playoff semifinal games since 1998 are larger, on average, than their NFL counterparts.

It's always about us. On the issue of playing semifinals at home sites, Bill Hancock is worried about whether Manhattan can accommodate 1,200 media. Ahh, the poor bastards might have to stay in Topeka or Salina.
