K-State Basketball

New coach Bruce Weber has already named Chris Lowery to his staff at K-State. Weber hopes to complete his staff this week. Former Illinois assistants Jerrance Howard and Jay Price are among those rumored to be candidates to join Weber in Manhattan.

After Frank Martin's, uhh, abrasive demeanor, K-State's players are enjoying Weber's more relaxed approach. In discussing staff options, this article mentions both Howard and Price, as well as North Texas assistant Shawn Forrest.

K-State Golf

K-State swept the team and individual titles at the Cowboy Classic. Junior Ben Juffer fired a final-round 67 to finish at -12, winning a playoff over Colorado State's MIke Wuertz. The Wildcats finished at -14 as a team, two shots clear of second-place Colorado.

K-State Baseball

For the second-straight week, K-State was shut out in a midweek game as the Wildcats fell, 3-0, to Missouri State in Springfield, Mo., on Wednesday night. The fifth-ranked Baylor Bears, riding a 16-game winning streak, will be in Manhattan this weekend.
