K-State Slate: 3.30.12

Sorry, but this is going to be relatively short. I'm in a hurry and there isn't a ton of actual news out there.

K-State Basketball

No news out of the athletic department yet about who John Currie may be targeting as K-State's next head coach. But that hasn't stopped people from throwing their hat in the ring. Most entertainingly, ESPN analyst Doug Gottlieb, who hasn't coached so much as a rec league team, is interested and believes he'll do well.

Oklahoma assistant and former K-State player Steve Henson has told K-State he wants the job. Rarely does someone who campaigns so openly end up being chosen.

The Star has a list of coaches who are not in the running. No big surprises here.

K-State Baseball

The Bat Cats travel to Norman, Okla., this weekend to take on the ranked Sooners. A series win would be huge for this team right now.
