TOURNEY WATCH: 3/19/12

Damn you, Burdue Boilermakers. So close to legendary "Killer B" status ... and yet so far.
Damn you, Burdue Boilermakers. So close to legendary "Killer B" status ... and yet so far.

Just three K-State opponents remain active in the postseason after the second third round of the NCAA Tournament claimed another victim (well, pair of victims if you count the Cats themselves).

Frank Martin's squad finished 22-11 with a 6-7 record against top-50 opposition, as well as signature wins against RPI top-30 opponents Baylor, Missouri (twice) and Southern Miss.

And, of course, it won an NCAA Tournament game for the fourth time in four appearances. Pretty damn salty for a rebuilding year, if you ask me. Frank Haith only wishes he could have won an NCAA game of any kind.

Overall Record = 22-11

Big 12 Record = 10-8

Top 50 Record = 6-7

RPI = 49

SOS = 56

Signature Wins (RPI 1-30) = Missouri (2), Baylor, Southern Miss

Quality Wins (RPI 31-100) = Alabama, Long Beach State, Texas

Bad Losses (RPI 101 or greater) = Oklahoma (2)
