RPI WATCH: 2/11/12

Note: This edition is late, due to work commitments and my gradually decreasing interest in college basketball as this disappointing season trudges on, so it does not take into account Saturday's games.

Shout-outs to Alabama, Howard, Long Beach State, North Florida and UTEP, who managed not to lose this week.

No other K-State non-con opponents could say the same thing.

Of course, of those who won, only Alabama and Long Beach are legitimately decent teams.

Alabama's win was good enough to poke briefly back into the RPI top 30 and count the Tide as a signature win, although that likely will be short-lived in the wake of Anthony Grant suspending four starters and watching his team fall today at LSU.
