#28 Logan Dold |
Position: Defensive Back Previous College: None Projection: Third-String Status: On Scholarship |
Logan Dold (b. June 23, 1989) has had a tough career at K-State. His best season was as a true freshman, when Leon Patton's epic stupidity left the running back corps so thin that Ron Prince had nowhere else to turn.
With 336 yards on 82 carries and three touchdowns, including 115 yards on 21 carries at Texas A&M, Dold was K-State's third-leading rusher that year.
So of course Bill Snyder turned Dold into a safety. The conversion hasn't gone so well, with Dold collecting only a handful of tackles in two seasons, but that's mostly because he's been plagued with a series of devastating injuries.
Here's hoping he can get healthy this year and contribute in a meaningful way, since it appears unlikely he ever will redshirt. Given his injury-riddled history, it's hard to project him above third string, and even that is questionable.
