Jarard Milo made a bit of an unexpected splash during spring practice for an unrecruited walk-on most fans of whom most fans never have heard. He had an offer from Minnesota in high school, but went the JUCO route instead.
With Tysyn Hartman and Ty Zimmerman unavailable for the spring game, Milo started for them on the White team.
He collected three tackles and broke up a pass. The word out of spring camp was that he was much more impressive than that during daily drills. And his recruiting highlights are pretty solid, too.
None of which means he will displace either of the aforementioned safeties in the starting lineup, of course. Nor is he likely to see significant time as a primary backup. But there's a decent chance he could play his way to third string.
