Randall Lemont Evans (b. Dec. 26, 1991) impressed the coaches in spring ball after a redshirt year. He came here with high credentials, having collected 115 total tackles and eight interceptions in his final two high school seasons.
Oh, and here's a little-known tidbit: When he first came to K-State, he was dating Michael Beasley's sister. I have no idea if they're still an item, though.
As a high school junior, he ran a 200-meter race in 23.46 seconds. Here's a video of him putting that speed to good use on the football field.
There are some rumors floating out there that Evans is challenging for a starting cornerback spot, especially if David Garrett continues to play more of a safety/nickelback role this season. If nothing else, it's clear he will see major snaps.
