As posted on Friday, K-State and Ron Prince settled their lawsuit with K-State paying Prince $1.65 million. Haskin, like most others in the media, wishes the case would have gone to trial, because he wants the details behind what happened.
Missouri took the series from the Bat Cats this weekend in Manhattan, effectively ending any last hope K-State had of making the NCAA Tournament as an at-large. K-State clings to a half-game lead over KU for the last spot in the Big 12 tournament at this point. The two teams will meet in two weeks for the Sunflower Showdown, with one game in Manhattan and the other two in Lawrence.
Texas guard Cory Joseph will remain in the NBA Draft.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't post anything about a Mizzou basketball commitment, but the Tigers got a commitment from Raytown South's Ishmail Wainright over the weekend. That's notable to me because I played pickup basketball with him a few months ago at my local rec center, and didn't realize who he was at the time. My personal evaluation of him is that he was better than me, if that tells you anything.
