Please give a big Bring On The Cats welcome to our newest writer, Ahearn Alley! You may have previously read the Fantake site, Ahearn Alley, and we were more than happy to add another excellent writer to the BOTC staff. Look for a Nebraska game preview later this afternoon from AA.

K-State has switched to a variant of Tex Winters' triangle offense, and it has led to a more efficient offense.

It looks like K-State will play Bob Huggins' West Virginia squad next season in Wichita.

Jacob Pullen was the U.S. Basketball Writers' Association player of the week.

If you're an early riser, get out to the Octagon by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday for the basketball training facility groundbreaking.

Interesting read from Rock M Nation's morning links. Lost Lettermen wants the shot clock in college basketball reduced at least to 30 seconds, and preferably to 24 seconds, like the NBA. I don't have a problem with this change, but scoring would increase at least as much if more kids learned how to actually dribble and shoot properly in youth basketball.
