Not too much to report from Tuesday night.

Texas struggled to find its mojo again in the first half against Iowa State, a team with an inverted conference record that at times looked like the superior squad, but a quick flurry to begin the second frame quickly abolished all doubt regarding which team was the one ranked in the top five.

It looks as if Texas is back, just in time for a difficult two-game stretch at Colorado and at home versus Kansas State.

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech also appeared to struggle early against a woeful Wake Forest team, but hit the gas during a five-minute stretch in which the Hokies inflated their lead to double digits.

They never looked back, although the Demon Deacons did trim the deficit slightly late in the game to make it appear slightly less dominating on VPI's part.
