K-State Football

K-State's defense finally appears to be finding a way to slow down the Big 12's high-powered spread offenses.

Haskin goes back in time and takes a look at the Big 12 and national games of interest.

Stadium Journey recently visited Bill Snyder Family Stadium, and came away with a favorable impression of just about everything other than the food.

K-State Basketball

K-State was slotted at sixth in the preseason men's basketball poll. KU and Texas A&M shared the top spot. I'd make a comment about the absurdity of a team with a new coach sharing the top spot with the otherwise clear favorite, but it's a preseason poll, and thus it really doesn't mean much.

Basketball practice begins at 5:00 p.m. tonight, and Frank Martin couldn't be more ready. Additionally, Jamar Samuels apparently gained 30 pounds in the offseason. Fortunately, it sounds like it wasn't because he employed the Sherron Collins diet.

In case you haven't seen it, the men's basketball media guide is pretty awesome this year.

Conference Realignment

It only took a month, but Kansas City mayor Sly James finally realized that Missouri leaving the Big 12 would be bad for his city.

The Big East is expected to vote to increase its "exit fee" on a conference call today. Louisville may abstain from voting.
