Lots to recap, so let's go rapid-fire style:
Wins
- Baylor and Texas A&M took care of business and did what they had to do, but they didn't prove anything one way or the other.
- Colorado shocked the world and made my conference preview for the Buffaloes look pretty stupid.
- Florida and Gonzaga won their conference openers.
- James Madison and Texas Southern each won a third conference game.
- Nebraska won, but I'm not sure it deserved to. Enjoy it while it lasts...
- We all know what Oklahoma State did. Could be its best win of the season when all is said and done.
- UMKC won its second conference game.
- UNLV and Virginia Tech each won their first conference game.
- Washington State climbed back to .500 in conference play with its second home win in a row.
Losses
- Alcorn State still is winless and probably will stay that way all season. No Arkansas-Pine Bluff, they.
- Emporia State lost its third conference game on the road.
- Iowa State dug a huge early hole for itself and almost climbed out before losing the game with a stupid turnover and a stupid foul. Ouch. Welcome to the Big 12, Mr. Mayor.
- Loyola is falling apart. The Ramblers fell to 1-5 in conference play and I'm damn glad we beat them.
- WTF, Missouri?
- North Florida fell to .500 in conference play and .333 overall.
- Oklahoma and Texas Tech are what we thought they were — really, really bad.
- Presbyterian lost its third conference game in an obscene blowout at home and subsequently fell out of the RPI Top 100. So much that quality win.
- Connecticut and Texas put on an epic display of alternating brain farts and circus shots. In the end, it came down to this simple fact: Texas doesn't have a Kemba Walker. Sorry, Rick.
