RPI WATCH: 2/2/2010

As you sow, Oklahoma State, so shall ye reap.

Witness, if you will, the following chain of dastardly events:

Flush off the victory over then-No. 1 Texas, K-State dropped a home game to the upset-minded Cowboys.

That forced the Wildcats into a position where they needed to go to Waco and steal a win, which they did.

Which in turn forced the Baylor Bears to feel compelled to win a game in Austin, which they did, as well.

And last night, the circle became complete when the Longhorns, desperate to end a slide of three losses in four tries, waltzed into Gallagher-Iba Arena and pummeled the Cowboys in the second half.

Clearly, karma is a bitch. How's that for destroying the transitive property?

In other news, Fort Hays State virtually is falling apart (by its high standards), losing its second consecutive game — both on the road to teams it beat previously in the season. Just goes to show how hard it is to win conference road games, at any level.
