UMKC finally won a conference game Tuesday night, but it was a near thing.
Trinity Hall had to score on a tip-in with one second left on the clock to secure the 75-73 victory. Of course, the photo finish was necessary only because the Roos blew a 20-point lead earlier in the half.
That was the only K-State opponent to play yesterday because Florida's home game against Fairfield was canceled due to travel difficulties caused by the Great New York City Blizzard of 2010.
Good thing, too, since Fairfield is 10th in the nation in scoring defense and has won seven straight. That's a much tougher opponent than Jacksonville.
Instead, Florida will have to wait until its Friday game at Xavier to disappoint us and damage our RPI once more.
